Phi Phi Natural Resort

Phi Phi Natural was great with unparallel natural beauty, its not as hard to get here as you might think! The major ferry companies all know it, and as there are a few resorts here its not uncommon for you to be asked where your resort is to confirm. Once you are here though, that's where the magic happens! I came here with my girlfriend on her first trip to southeast asia and the things we saw were amazing. Snorkeling was a big plus for her, we loved the fact that we could just go snorkeling around the corner from the hotel and there were so many fish! Combine that with a private boat tour as well and you will have a wonderful time here! The next thing that was wonderful was just the natural beauty of the place. We came during the highest of high seasons. Between christmas and new year's. But even then we had so much space for ourselves. I recommend the larger villas for the privacy! The nets by the pool which you could lay on were great, the staff was really nice. The tricky thing for room service is the distance between rooms and the restaurant and bar but they did really did their best to get it there. Once we had a bottle of our favorite wine and they came with glasses and a bottle opener for us too. I remember vividly ordering 4 milkshakes by a hammock on the far end of the pool and it was delivered to us despite all the chaos of the christmas new years rush. Its the place to be if you want a nice quiet romantic getaway and you want to be in a more natural setting. Its basically the polar opposite of patong in phuket but accessible by a short ferry ride. its just wonderful. Also the view of sea was to die for! I will miss this so much! Another thing to note, some people talk about bugs for some reason. If you have ever spent time in southeast asia, you will realis this is nothing. You will see less weird bugs here than you would in the center of shiny Singapore. Chill people!

The resort is located in a wonderful area - the beach is lovely, you can see the fish, a bit of the reef. Beautiful blue water. The area of the hotel is big and green, gardens are well maintained, you can see all kinds of flowers, we saw couple of huge jackfruits. The rooms are okay, we had an issue with the door in our villa but it was fixed for us by staff - people who work at the hotel are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was provided, but for dinner and lunch you’d have to search for some options around - we found great places with good food. There are many long tail boats nearby so you can rent one and visit nearby islands. Overall beautiful area and nature - perfect for quiet holiday. Also perfect place for stargazing. Definitely would come back to this place!

Very charming hotel in stunning natural surroundings. We spent 2 nights here during our sightseeing trip and it was sufficient amount of time for us, as one day was for chilling on the island and the other one for a trip around the Phi Phi islands. Rooms are clean and well-kept. I took one star off because the food offer for vegetarians has some room for improvement. While there was some choice for breakfast, for dinner I only had spaghetti to choose from. It is better to check out the paid offer of Beach Bar Restaurant as we once did for a lunch (they can adopt your choice to a vegetarian version if you wish) or even go further south where are other eateries.

Even if it may not look like much, it has all the amenities - working shower, a toilet, a kettle and a tv(that had around 1 channel but I don’t really watch tv). Rooms, cottages and villas are all nicely placed and feel quite private despite being close to each other. Not the most modern place I’ve stayed, but I knew what I looked for when booking and this fit perfectly - off the grid, private, quaint. Even saw a leaf insect on the front porch of our villa!! wish i would’ve taken a picture. Recommend it to anyone looking for something simple and quiet. A note to people staying - keep the windows and doors closed because bugs can be a lot.

Its a leisure property at premium price , 11 am is too early for check out. Staffs are too stiff with policy. Its more like business deal kind of approach and not hospitality. One funny experience- first time i saw a room service person taking photo while delivering food to the room as a proof. Just tried not to be offended instead sympathising being a hotelier myself. Do’s- No 7/11 around so remember to buy packed food and beverages if you require. Don’t- don’t plan stay over if you dont enjoy quiet places.

Do yourself a favor, stay away from Phi Phi Natural Resort. Stay somewhere, anywhere, else on this island, this beach, but here. I know Natural looks good from it's appearance, but appearances can be very, very deceiving. The fact is, unless you are either part of a large Chinese tour group or the son of a Russian oligarch, this resort will ignore you in terms of services, despite a somewhat passible continental breakfast. It took us over 2 hours to arrive just from Tonsai pier to Natural resort which should have only been 30 min, because the resort, unlike every other on the island, refused to provide its own boat service (despite, of course, NO clear mention of this on the website). When we finally arrived, the lady at the front desk said it was our fault and refused to apologize. When we arrived in our room, we were bombarded with a myriad of problems, such as a fuzzy television, a non-working porch light, dead batteries in the AC remote (I had to buy new ones myself just to get it working), no hot water in the showers, and worst of all a smoke detector that begun beeping in the middle of the night keeping my 68 year old mother up all night. When she contacted the front desk, the male security guard refused to even look at it until afternoon of the following day. SMFH It's almost like the only thing they do is make sure the rooms are stocked with new towels and beds folded in origami fashion. No maintenance on the rooms even matter, just as long as the stupid hotel garden looks nice when the busy season finally comes and the resort fills, given the near miracle that it ever does.
